A young woman with long blonde hair walking down a busy street filled with motorbikes and pedestrians. She is wearing a white dress, sunglasses on her head, and carries a brown woven handbag. Other pedestrians and motorbikes are in motion behind her, and there are buildings and trees along the street.

Jessica O’Brien is a British photographer based in Bristol, the West of England.

Currently in her second year of studying Photography at the University of the West of England, Jessica is already carving a distinctive path in the world of documentary and portrait photography.

Her work captures quiet moments and deeply personal stories by building on relationships and maintaining an empathetic, ethical approach. Jessica’s photography is rooted in real human connection — from her tender portraits of Jean, a close friend and elderly muse, to her documentary series on the regulars of a Bedminster pub. Her images invite viewers to slow down and see the beauty in everyday life.

Her upcoming project draws from her Palestinian partner’s family history alongside her own, Jessica O’Brien’s Shajaret Al Zaitoun explores how heritage, memory, and relationships intertwine across generations and cultures.
